ScoreTap support

ScoreTap (store name: Pickleball Remote Scoreboard) is a free scoreboard app for pickleball and 16 other racket, net, table and yard sports. It speaks the score after every rally, pairs with the ₱1,900 ScoreTap Ring or any Bluetooth remote so you can score hands-free, and runs offline with no account needed to score, and no ads or tracking.

The ScoreTap app is free on Google Play, on the App Store and on the web, with no ads or subscriptions. The ScoreTap Ring, an optional wearable accessory for hands-free scoring, costs ₱1,900 separately.

A ₱1,900 wearable Bluetooth ring made for one job: scoring a match without ever touching your phone. Tap it after a rally and it scores or undoes, exactly like any Bluetooth remote bound in Settings.

Yes. It offers the three official versions: traditional side-out scoring to 11, rally scoring, and tournament side-out to 15. Doubles starts at 0-0-2 and the app tracks the server number, side-outs and win-by-2 exactly as a referee would.

The ScoreTap Ring is the recommended way to score hands-free, but it is not required: any Bluetooth remote that sends standard media or keyboard keys works too, including cheap "bike handlebar" music controls, presenter clickers and Bluetooth keyboards. Volume buttons cannot be read by any app on any phone, so bind play, next or previous instead.

9: English (US), English (UK), German, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, and Vietnamese. Both the voice announcer and the app's interface are available in each of them. Speech uses the voices already installed on your device, so nothing is downloaded or sent anywhere.

Yes. Scoring never needs a connection: after the first load the web app is cached by a service worker, and the Android and iOS apps bundle everything. Open Play uses a connection to sign in, join and sync; an organiser can keep running it offline and the changes are sent when the device is back online.

The scoreboard collects nothing: no account, no analytics, no crash reporting and no advertising SDK, and its settings stay on your own device. Open Play, which you choose to use, stores a username, your name, your games and results, and an email address if you create an account, so that the people in an open play can see them. You can delete it all in the app.

First make sure the sound toggle in the app is on and your phone is not in silent mode. Speech uses the voices installed on your device; if a language sounds unavailable, open your system's text-to-speech settings and install that language's voice pack, then pick the language again from the sound menu in the app.

Tap the gear icon to open Settings. Choose the sport under Sport, then open Rules for its scoring version and options such as points to win, win-by-2 and match length. Your choice is remembered as the default next time.

Yes, following each sport's official rules: between games, in the deciding game of a longer match (for example pickleball at 6 of 11, or table tennis at 5), every 7 points in beach volleyball, after odd games in tennis and padel, and so on. When the rules say the teams change ends, the court flips, a "Change ends" banner appears and the voice says so. A single game is the whole match, not a deciding game, so by default it does not change ends in the middle. To change ends in a single game anyway, open Settings → Rules and turn on Change ends mid-game. That switch only appears for a single game in a sport with the rule; if the score is already past the point, the court changes ends on the next point, and Undo takes it back. Flip screen and announce turns the flip and the voice on or off (on by default). Flip screen now flips the two halves yourself, for example after a toss or when you play from the other side of the court.

Tap the undo button in the toolbar, swipe as configured, or press the remote button you bound to Undo. Undo restores the previous state including server number and side-outs.

The app requests a screen wake lock so the scoreboard stays visible for the whole match. It is released when the match ends or the app goes to the background.

Clear the app's storage or reinstall it (Google Play build), or clear the site data in your browser (web app). The scoreboard settings are stored nowhere else, so that removes them all. Your Open Play account is separate: see the next question.

Open Profile in Open Play and tap Delete account, or Forget me if you joined as a guest. Your profile and sign-in are removed at once and your past games show "Deleted player". If you cannot open the app, email algoflamingo@gmail.com. Details are in the privacy policy.
