Short version: ScoreTap is a free scorekeeping aid. Use it for personal, non-commercial scorekeeping, verify the score yourself during play, and understand that it is provided as is. There is no account and nothing is stored outside your device.
1. Acceptance
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of ScoreTap, published in the app stores as Pickleball Remote Scoreboard (the "App"), on Google Play, on the Apple App Store, on the web at play.scoretap.app, as well as this website at https://scoretap.app. The App and website are provided by AlgoFlamingo ("we", "us"). By installing, opening or using the App or website you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on devices you own or control, for personal, non-commercial scorekeeping of pickleball and the other sports it supports. You may not copy, reverse-engineer, resell, sublicense or redistribute the App except as permitted by the terms of the platform you obtained it from (Google Play, Apple App Store or your web browser).
3. No accounts, your data stays on your device
The App does not require registration or an account. Sport choice, game settings, remote-control mappings and language preference are stored locally on your device only. See our Privacy Policy for details.
4. Accuracy of scorekeeping
You are responsible for entering rally outcomes correctly and for verifying the score during play. The App is provided as a convenience aid. We are not responsible for disputes, missed calls, incorrect scores or outcomes of any match, game or competition kept using the App, including matches played under official or tournament rules.
5. Third-party accessories
The ScoreTap Ring, Bluetooth remotes, clickers, keyboards and other accessories are made or sourced by third-party manufacturers. Their compatibility depends on the accessory, your device and its operating system. We do not warrant that any particular accessory will work with the App.
6. "As is", no warranty
THE APP AND WEBSITE ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT VOICE ANNOUNCEMENTS, HAPTICS OR REMOTE-CONTROL INPUT WILL FUNCTION IDENTICALLY ACROSS ALL DEVICES, OPERATING SYSTEM VERSIONS OR ACCESSORIES.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, AlgoFlamingo will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of data, goodwill or match outcome, arising from your use of or inability to use the App. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including the laws of the European Union and Luxembourg or the Philippines where they apply to you.
8. Third-party platforms
Your use of the App is also subject to the terms of the platform you obtained it from (Google Play's Terms of Service or Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement). In case of conflict between those terms and ours regarding platform obligations, the applicable store's terms govern that aspect.
9. Changes to the App or these Terms
We may update the App and these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date on this page and, where appropriate, in the app store update notes. Continuing to use the App after a change means you accept the revised Terms.
10. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it or removing it from your home screen. We may discontinue or modify the App at our discretion; because there is no account or server-side data, discontinuation has no effect on data stored locally until you delete the App yourself.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to AlgoFlamingo's place of establishment, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence provides otherwise.
