Terms of Use

1. Acceptance

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of ScoreTap, published in the app stores as Pickleball Remote Scoreboard (the "App"), including its Open Play feature, on Google Play, on the Apple App Store, on the web at play.scoretap.app, as well as this website at https://scoretap.app. The App and website are provided by AlgoFlamingo ("we", "us"). By installing, opening or using the App or website you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on devices you own or control, for personal, non-commercial scorekeeping of pickleball and the other sports it supports, and to take part in or organise open plays. You may not copy, reverse-engineer, resell, sublicense or redistribute the App except as permitted by the terms of the platform you obtained it from (Google Play, Apple App Store or your web browser).

3. Accounts, guests and your data

The scoreboard does not require registration or an account. Open Play does: you join as a guest with a username and a name, or sign in with an email address (a 6-digit code that we email you, or a password if your account has one). Creating an open play needs an account. You must be at least 13 years old to use Open Play, and older where your local law sets a higher age for consent.

Give accurate details when you sign in, keep your sign-in secure and do not share your account. You are responsible for what happens under it.

What we store about you, and how to delete your account in the app (Profile, then Delete account, or Forget me for guests), is described in our Privacy Policy.

4. Names and conduct in Open Play

Your username, display name and the results you submit are visible to the other people in your open plays. You keep ownership of what you enter, and you allow us to store it and show it to those people as needed to run Open Play.

You agree not to:

• choose a name or username that is offensive or hateful, pretends to be someone else, or contains someone else's personal details;
• submit results you know are false, or change or dispute results in bad faith;
• harass other players or organisers, or disrupt an open play;
• guess join codes, get around limits, or use scripts or other automated means to reach Open Play; or
• use Open Play for anything unlawful.

We may change or remove content, remove people from an open play, and suspend or delete accounts that break these rules. To report a name or behaviour, tell the organiser, who can remove the person, or email algoflamingo@gmail.com.

5. Organisers

The person who creates an open play is its organiser and can make others organisers. Organisers decide who joins, who plays where and which results count, and they can enter official results. Organisers are responsible for the open play they run: for having the right to add the names they enter (adding a player without an account needs that person's agreement), for their decisions, and for the venue, the courts, the schedule, any fees and the safety of the people playing. Those arrangements are between the organiser and the players. AlgoFlamingo is not a party to them and does not run, supervise or insure any open play.

6. Results, rankings and levels

Results come from the players and organisers, and a result that nobody disputes is treated as confirmed after a while. Levels are chosen by players or organisers, and rankings and matching are estimates computed from what is entered. They are for fun and for organising games, not official ratings of any governing body, and we do not guarantee that they are accurate, complete or fair. Do not rely on them for tournaments, seeding or eligibility.

7. Accuracy of scorekeeping

You are responsible for entering rally outcomes correctly and for verifying the score during play. The App is provided as a convenience aid. We are not responsible for disputes, missed calls, incorrect scores or outcomes of any match, game or competition kept using the App, including matches played under official or tournament rules.

8. Third-party accessories

The ScoreTap Ring, Bluetooth remotes, clickers, keyboards and other accessories are made or sourced by third-party manufacturers. Their compatibility depends on the accessory, your device and its operating system. We do not warrant that any particular accessory will work with the App.

9. "As is", no warranty

THE APP AND WEBSITE ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP OR OPEN PLAY WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT VOICE ANNOUNCEMENTS, HAPTICS OR REMOTE-CONTROL INPUT WILL FUNCTION IDENTICALLY ACROSS ALL DEVICES, OPERATING SYSTEM VERSIONS OR ACCESSORIES.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, AlgoFlamingo will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of data, goodwill or match outcome, arising from your use of or inability to use the App, or for anything that happens at or around a venue where an open play takes place. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including the laws of the European Union and Luxembourg or the Philippines where they apply to you.

11. Third-party platforms

Your use of the App is also subject to the terms of the platform you obtained it from (Google Play's Terms of Service or Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement). In case of conflict between those terms and ours regarding platform obligations, the applicable store's terms govern that aspect.

12. Changes to the App or these Terms

We may update the App and these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date on this page and, where appropriate, in the app store update notes. Continuing to use the App after a change means you accept the revised Terms. Version 1.2.0 (October 13, 2026) added accounts and Open Play: Sections 3 to 6 and 13 are new or rewritten.

13. Suspension and ending

You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it or removing it from your home screen, and you can delete your account in the app. We may suspend or end your access to Open Play if you break these Terms, and we may discontinue or modify the App at our discretion. The Privacy Policy describes what happens to your data when an account is deleted. Scoreboard settings stored on your device are unaffected until you delete the App yourself.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to AlgoFlamingo's place of establishment, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence provides otherwise.
